Classic S’mores

Ingredients

(makes 4 s’mores)

  • 8 digestive biscuits
  • 4 large marshmallows
  • Chocolate bar, broken into squares

Method

Option 1: Campfire / BBQ

  1. Skewer a marshmallow and toast it over the fire until golden brown and gooey (about 30 – 60 seconds).
  2. Place a piece of chocolate on one digestive biscuit.
  3. Put the hot marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
  4. Sandwich with another digestive biscuit and press gently.
  5. Wait ~10 seconds for the chocolate to melt slightly, then enjoy.

Option 2: Oven / Grill

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or set grill to medium.
  2. Place 4 digestive biscuits on a baking tray and top each with chocolate.
  3. Add a marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
  4. Heat for 2–3 minutes (watch closely, marshmallows burn fast).
  5. Remove, top with another biscuit, press gently, and serve warm.

Option 3: Microwave

  1. Place chocolate and marshmallow on one digestive biscuit.
  2. Microwave for 5 – 15 seconds until marshmallow puffs (watch closely, puffs up fast).
  3. Top with second biscuit and press.

Tips & Variations

  • Use chocolate digestives for a richer version.
  • Add sliced banana or strawberries for a twist.
  • If you want that “American” taste, look for graham crackers in larger supermarkets or online. Digestives are the closest UK equivalent.
